Made my first trip to Highgate Cemetery this past weekend. A lovely sunny evening in a rather beautiful spot of town. Didn't manage to see the West Cemetery which is only open to the public on weekends and only by guided tour. Another time...

the west cemetery is a site to behold. definitely worth the visit again. depending on your tour guide means you can experience a different part of the cemetery as they each have their own favourite spots. if you ask one of them nicely, they will even take you to a few spots that are not on the offical tours.
