Trenches


This is a recreated World War I trench at the Imperial War Museum London. Quite freaky, actually, though the WWII Blitz experience is a bit kitsch.

  1. I loved the War Museum as a boy, since then I have served for some years in the military and it has given me a whole new outlook on these exhibitions. I was lucky we do not really do trenches these days, not that modern warfare is any better.
    Here in Leeds we have the Royal Armouries museum and they do Drama and Combat interpretations, with stories based on real people like Florence Nightingale
