Man U v. Barca
It's the big UEFA Champions League final today. Man U v. Barcelona. And they'll be squaring off here, at Wembley Stadium. Tickets are going for thousands of pounds. I might watch it. Might not.
There is even advertising for it on TV here. Wembly looks very modern and luxurious as these things go. The only big-time football matches I've attended have been in Buenos Aires, where both stadiums are 1930's dumps. They make up in enthusiasm what they lack in amenities.
Which makes me ask: do they sell beer in British football stadiums? Absolutely never in Argentina - too dangerous.

ReplyDeleteI was not able to watch the match. Glad I did not, I was dismayed that Manchester United lost.
