modern-day mudlarks
Remember this post from a while back showing the Mudlark pub in Southwark? Here are some real life modern day mudlarks searching for treasures on the banks of the Thames. The Society of Thames Mudlarks make regular excursions down to the river and were instrumental in uncovering some interesting archaeology a while back.

Searching for treasure sounds fun, like the splashes of colour from the jackets.
ReplyDeleteHello Molly. I'm a photo researcher working in the US trying to find images of Thames mudlarkers for a school reading book to be published by Heinemann. Please send me an email if we can obtain this photo from you. howlingmutt at rcn dot com
