black swan

Are those black swans I saw in St. James's Park??

  1. Looks like it to me Molly, the black swan is the national emblem for Perth, they look so beautiful when they fly because underneath the black wings are white feathers.

  2. Cool! I can see white feathers peaking out under the black, so I think they may indeed be black swans. I did a little research, and there are apparently 9 official breeding pairs in the UK, used as "ornamental waterfowl" in English parks. How quaint.

  3. Look more like big geese to me, but hey, I'll trust your judgment.
